This was the list that was generated for me at Photoblitzer. It is an assignment where you get a list of things or ideas to take pictures of and you have 20 minutes to complete all of the bullets. The list below was the list made for me.
- Make a photo of something upside down that is never seen that way.
- Toilets get little respect. Make an interesting photo of a toilet (keep it G rated).
- Make a photo that represents the end, termination…
- Take an extreme close-up of an easily recognizable, common object.
- Black and white photographs are a classic look.
- Someone else’s hand (or paw)
- Make a creative photo of paired opposites.
This is a screenshot of my home screen at the beginning of the assignment for the time!
Make a photo of something upside down that is never seen that way. I took a picture of a bike and it’s funny because originally I took it upside down on my phone but the phone automatically rotated it to normal so I went in and rotated it back to upside down. Phones are smart. Also I find this picture weird to look at it messes with my brain.
Toilets get little respect. Make an interesting photo of a toilet (keep it G rated). This was a weird one for me, I can’t say I remember a time ever taking a photo of mine or any other toilet. But I liked the reflection of the toilet bottom in the back. And the basket centered at the top with the glade. I didn’t want to get too close to the toilet, it just felt wrong!
Make a photo that represents the end, termination…This is what the end of the day looks like to me. My residence building door. A beautiful sight at the end of a long day to know that my bed and comfort is so close! I liked how the shadow of the railing looked on the brick path
Take an extreme close-up of an easily recognizable, common object. This was a fun one I love seeing these pictures. Guess what this object is and let me know in the comments!
Black and white photographs are a classic look. I love black and white photos, I went through a phase where every picture I took with friends was in black and white, I always felt that the pictures looked better without color distracting the eye. Although I also love color so much because it brings the photo alive. I like how this photo turned out, but the sky was a beautiful blue even though you can’t tell!
Someone else’s hand (or paw). I wish I had my dog with me at school to take a picture of her paw! But I had to settle for my awesome roommates hand as my subject! Her mother is a photographer so she is used to being in a lot of photos. I liked how the light hit her silver ring and bracelete as well as her nails. And I also had her put her hand by our carpet since it was a good textured background.
Make a creative photo of paired opposites. I’m sure there is a reason why this one window frame on the right doesn’t have a window but it has always confused me! So I thought this fit with paired opposites because they look almost the same and are together, but they are also different.
Below is a screenshot when I was finished with the assignment. Done in less 20 minutes!
I liked the time crunch on this assignment. Although usually I like to take my time and take pictures of things I find beauty in through the day this was different than before which was a fun twist.
